Hanoi [Vietnam], October 21: Despite facing many ups and downs, Quach Thanh Danh has maintained his passion for art. According to him, the secret to keeping the flame alive in his profession comes from the love and support of his audience.
Having accompanied contestants on numerous music programs over the years, Quach Thanh Danh has observed that the younger generation has many advantages thanks to increasingly advanced learning conditions, technology, and music production techniques. According to him, these factors contribute to supporting vocal abilities, helping performers to shine more easily on stage.
However, the male singer also pointed out a limitation that young singers need to be aware of: overusing vocal embellishments, slurred speech, or imitating foreign styles to the point that the lyrics become difficult to understand. According to Quach Thanh Danh, a song can only fully convey its message when the listener understands what the singer is singing. Therefore, clear pronunciation, adherence to lyrics, and expressing the true spirit of the work are fundamental elements that cannot be overlooked.
This reminder is also the experience the male singer wants to share with the contestants of "The Love Storyteller" : refreshing a song doesn't mean changing everything. Sometimes, a simple, natural approach that captures the spirit of the song creates lasting emotional impact.
A turning point in Quach Thanh Danh's career.
Looking back on his artistic journey, Quach Thanh Danh considers the decision to abandon his university studies to pursue music as one of the most important milestones in his life. At the time, his family did not want him to pursue a singing career, but his love for music compelled him to choose his own path.
The male singer admitted that his career journey hasn't always been smooth sailing. There were difficult periods that made him feel discouraged, and he even considered quitting. However, those low points have now become experiences for him to reflect on and grow stronger.
What keeps Quach Thanh Danh committed to the stage is the affection of his audience. The male singer said that even now, there are still fans who want to hear him sing many songs at each performance. That love makes him feel that he needs to continue to strive and dedicate himself. "As long as the audience still wants to hear me sing, I have to try my best," Quach Thanh Danh shared.
