Hanoi [Vietnam], October 21: After living abroad for many years, singer Dong Lan has undergone changes in her musical journey and self-expression.
Recently, Dam Vinh Hung's protege collaborated with virtual reality artist MinHang to create the music video "Orchid ." The video tells the story of a woman's journey of growth, while also conveying a message encouraging women to confidently assert their self-worth and celebrate women's rights.
Dong Lan collaborates with a virtual reality artist in the music video for "Orchid" featuring orchids.
Following the music video "If You Don't Love Me , " Dong Lan continues to introduce the song "Orchid." This musical product uses the image of the orchid to honor women and their right to self-determination. She uses the image of the orchid to speak about women's femininity in a gentle, symbolic language, rather than through ostentation or provocation.
"I don't want women to become more beautiful to be loved by others. I want women to feel like they belong in their own bodies, to love their own bodies. For me, feminism isn't about women having to become strong like men. Nor is it about women having to fight against men. It's simply about having the right to be myself," Dong Lan expressed.
To subtly convey her vision, Dong Lan collaborated with virtual reality artist MinHang and creative director Shizen (Nhi Ngo) to create an abstract world. The 8X singer and her team take viewers on a journey through human development, from the womb to adulthood. In addition to viewing the music video on phones and computers, audiences can enjoy it in 3D using virtual reality (VR) glasses.
