Hanoi [Vietnam], May 5: In the program 'The Khang Show', singer Akira Phan opened up for the first time about his relationship with businesswoman Phuong Maika, and also revealed the reason why they decided to 'move in together' after a period of getting to know each other.
Akira Phan stated that his current life revolves around his family. According to the singer, the two are almost always together, with the rare occasions they are apart being when he plays sports or has his own work to do. Meanwhile, Phuong Maika described her husband as gentle, calm, and especially patient in handling conflicts. If there is an argument, the couple doesn't let emotions escalate but proactively makes peace through gentle conversation. "We don't hold grudges for long, nor do we say hurtful things to each other," the businesswoman said.
Akira Phan admitted that he is not a hot-tempered person. When upset, he usually chooses to remain silent or avoid direct confrontation. Afterwards, he and his wife will sit down to analyze the issue, determine right from wrong, and find ways to adjust. The singer said he doesn't put himself in a patriarchal position, but always listens to his wife's opinions.
In many cases, Phuong Maika makes the final decision, but all choices are based on mutual agreement. "I'm easygoing; as long as my wife and children are happy, that's all that matters," he said.

For her part, Phuong Maika knew Akira Phan through his music, having previously enjoyed his song "Simple Wish. " However, what captivated her wasn't his fame, but his personality in real life. "He's kind, genuine, and approachable. When he invited me out for juice, he shared a lot about his life, which gradually made me understand and feel a connection with him," the businesswoman said.
Akira Phan revealed that after only about a month of getting to know each other, he decided to share his entire personal story, including the most private details, with Phuong Maika. Phuong Maika recounted that when their relationship became public, she received hundreds of messages from strangers. However, because she had prepared herself mentally beforehand, she wasn't too affected. The businesswoman said that at her current age, she's not looking for perfection. Instead, what's important is feeling peaceful and happy when she's with the person she chooses. "I don't believe in idealized versions like in movies. I just need someone who brings security and joy into my life," she said.
One of the significant milestones in their relationship was when Akira Phan was hospitalized for treatment. At that time, despite having only recently met, Phuong Maika arranged her schedule to be by his side and take care of him. The singer said this was when he realized the true feelings of the other person. "When you're in the hospital, whoever is by your side at that time is the person you will cherish," he shared.
Phuong Maika currently has three children from a previous relationship, while Akira Phan also has a son living in Australia.
