In an episode of the podcast Let's Be Honest With Kristin Cavallari , Holly Madison revealed that Hugh Hefner always tried to persuade her to stay when she expressed her desire to leave the Playboy Mansion. According to Holly Madison, the Playboy owner would often leave his will by her bedside to show her the assets she could receive if she stayed, RadarOnline reported on June 15th.

Furthermore, Holly Madison accused Hugh Hefner of creating a competitive environment among the women living in the mansion. She claimed he often divided them into opposing groups to maintain control: "Hugh liked to create competition between groups. It made everyone constantly vie for his attention."
