Havana (Cuba), July 25: Cuba reported 7,732 new cases and 68 deaths from COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the total number of cases to 324,115 and the death toll to 2,271, the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) reported.
The ministry's national director for hygiene and epidemiology, Francisco Duran, said that to date, 30.8 percent of people in Cuba had received at least one dose of vaccine.
"All of this will help us as long as we continue with sanitary measures," he said.
Havana, a province that is nearing the end of its massive vaccination campaign, registered the highest number of cases, with 1,394, followed by Matanzas, with 1,358, and Ciego de Avila, with 497.
A total of 311 people have been hospitalized in intensive care units while 5,578 were discharged on Saturday.
